AAHK appointed as the Chair of ACI APAC & MID Regional Environment Committee

27  December  2024

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) actively engages with the wider aviation industry globally to drive sustainable development. In November 2024, ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID) appointed Kristy Tan, Senior Manager, Climate Resilience of AAHK as the Chair of ACI APAC & MID Regional Environment Committee and will be leading the committee for two years in 2025-2026. The committee, comprising members from Asia-Pacific and Middle East airports, promotes best practices on airport environmental initiatives and communicates environment-related issues with other regional organisations.

This appointment underscores AAHK’s significant contributions to the industry and its commitment to driving industry-wide change. AAHK has contributed to the development of the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Levels 4/4+/5 and support global airports in establishing sustainability standards. Moving forward, AAHK will continue its involvement in the committee's core initiatives while continuing to assist smaller airports across the region.
