HAECO organised Clutter Clear Week to echo World Environment Day

Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company (HAECO) recognises the importance of a tidy workplace for enhancing our colleagues' productivity and well-being, and the need to incorporate sustainable development into our operations. Complementing World Environment Day, a 'Clutter Clear Week' was organised in June where each department spent two hours cleaning up and responsibly disposing of unneeded items. Throughout the week, over 16.5 tonnes of recyclable office goods and heavy equipment including trolleys and stands were collected, and more than 1,000 pre-loved items were shared among our colleagues or donated to the Salvation Army. The act of clearing the clutter also encouraged our colleagues to adopt more responsible consumption habits.  

A safety shoes recycling programme was also introduced in conjunction with World Environment Day, where the soles and vamps of old shoes are collected and used for the manufacturing of new sneakers. HAECO makes sustainable development part of our mission, and we are always keen to unite the efforts of our people in driving a sustainable future.
