HKIAA Establishes Civil Aviation Talent Cultivation Alliance <BR>Joining Forces with Mainland Academies in Promoting the Integration of Aviation Education and Industry

(Hong Kong, 21 March 2025, 1830hrs) – The Civil Aviation Talent Cultivation Alliance (Alliance), initiated by the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy (HKIAA), officially kicked off in Zhuhai today. The Alliance is well-received and supported by the CAAC Central and Southern Regional Administration, the Zhuhai Municipal Bureau of Commerce, industry stakeholders and academic institutions, signifying the integration of aviation education and industry in the region. The Alliance aims at nurturing the next generation of aviation talent, equipping them with global perspectives and specialised skills to support the growth of the industry.

The HKIAA has invited multiple professional institutions in the Mainland to join the Alliance, creating an open and interactive platform designed to foster synergies and collaborations between academia and industry, and consolidate resources for advancing aviation education.

Simon Li, Chairman of the Alliance and President of HKIAA, said, “The establishment of the Alliance marks a significant milestone in deepening cooperation between the Mainland and Hong Kong. By establishing a nurturing system that integrates the industry, academia, research, and applications, the Alliance will create a strong talent pool for the aviation industry’s sustainable development.”

Through the Alliance, the HKIAA will offer member institutions dedicated programmes which will include instructor training, professional courses, exchange programmes, and internship programmes in Hong Kong, covering comprehensive learning opportunities ranging from academic studies to practical experience.
