Airport Authority Welcomes Support from Policy Address on Airport Development

(HONG KONG, 25 October 2023, 1930hrs)  –  Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) welcomes the Chief Executive’s continuous support as detailed in his 2023 Policy Address to the various development projects at Hong Kong International Airport’s (HKIA), including the Three-runway System, new cargo facilities, commercial developments in SKYCITY, expansion of AsiaWorld-Expo, enhanced connectivity with the Greater Bay Area, and sustainability projects.

The shared vision of the Government and AAHK is to further consolidate HKIA's position as a leading international aviation hub and transform HKIA from a city airport into an Airport City. The Airport City is envisaged to be a new landmark and a destination on its own, attracting visitors from Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and other major markets. AAHK will continue to work closely with the Government and business partners to implement the various projects and realise the Airport City vision.
