MyTAG is more than a baggage tag, which can notify you instantly when your baggage is being delivered to the reclaim belt at Hong Kong International Airport through My HKG app.

New Registration

  • Click the baggage tag icon on the top of My HKG app’s main page
  • Click “Register" to register your MyTAG with your new email address
  • Scan the QR code on your MyTAG
Please be reminded to pair MyTAG with My HKG track flight function before you departure.

For MyTAG on HKairport Rewards Member
If you registered MyTAG before 16 Sep 2023, your tag has been linked with your HKairport Rewards account. Please follow these steps below to complete the one-time confirmation process on My HKG app before using:
  • Click “Me” on My HKG’s Main Page
  • Login to your account
  • Click the baggage tag icon on My HKG ’s Main Page
  • The System will prompt you to confirm whether to use this account email address for MyTAG Service.
  • Confirm the email address, then read and agree to Terms & Conditions
  • Confirmation process completed

The tag was still linked with your Rewards account. Please log in to the account to continue using it on your new device. If you forgot your account details, please click here to contact Rewards Customer Service Team. You may also send your MyTAG QR code and ID (12-digit number) with a photo to us.
The baggage arrival notification will be sent to you through My HKG app when your baggage is ready for pick up at Hong Kong International Airport. To receive the baggage arrival notification, your MyTAG must be paired with My HKG app track flight function and your phone must be connected to the internet.
  • Attach MyTAG to the handle of your baggage
  • Avoid hanging it on metal baggage or placing inside your baggage
  • Avoid hanging it on oversized baggage that exceeds 180 cm (H) x 75 cm (W) x 75 cm (D)

Please login to your Rewards account, to continue using MyTAG.

For Non - HKairport Rewards Member
Please click “Reconnect Registered Tags” on your new device, then input your registered email address. This process may take a few minutes and you will see your tags on “MyTAG Center” page once completed If you forgot your e-mail address, you are unable to transfer.

Please follow the below steps below to report loss:

  • Click the baggage tag icon on the top of My HKG app’s main page
  • Select your tag you would like to report loss
  • Click “Report lost tag”
  • Confirm “Report as loss”

Once your tag has been reported lost, the tag is deactivated and you cannot receive any baggage arrival notification. It can be re-activated only by registering the tag again with the original e-mail address.
