Airport Authority Appoints New Executive Director, Finance

(HONG KONG, 30 June 2020)  –  Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) today announced the appointment of Julian Lee as Executive Director, Finance effective 3 July 2020. Reporting to the AA’s Chief Executive Officer, Fred Lam, Mr Lee will be a key member of the senior management team.

Mr Lee will head the Finance Division, leading the Financial Accounting Department and Treasury Department to formulate strategies for the AA’s financial affairs, and also oversee the operations of the Procurement and Legal Departments. Mr Lee succeeds William Lo who stepped down in early-April after a decade of service at the AA.

The AA’s CEO thanked Mr Lo for his invaluable contributions and welcomed Mr Lee to join the AA. “Mr Lee has a wealth of experience in corporate finance and investment banking for over 20 years. With his solid financial background, I’m confident that Mr Lee will bring his professionalism to the team and continue to ensure that the AA operates according to prudent commercial principles and best industry practices,” Mr Lam said.

Prior to joining the AA, Mr Lee was a Managing Director of Everbright Sun Hung Kai Co. Ltd. Mr Lee also served at Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Ltd. and Merrill Lynch (Asia Pacific) Ltd. in senior management positions. Mr Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
