Invitation for Prequalification

Pre-qualification for Follow Market Insurers for Material Damage and Business Interruption Insurance for the Airport Authority Hong Kong (PRO/PQ011/24/HC)

The Airport Authority is a statutory corporation wholly owned by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).  Its statutory purpose is to, amongst other things, operate and develop Hong Kong International Airport at Chek Lap Kok. The Authority intends to appoint Follow Market Insurers to provide Material Damage and Business Interruption Insurance for the Authority with a 1-year insurance policy.

The purpose of this pre-qualification invitation is to shortlist competent companies to participate in the upcoming tender for the provision of Material Damage and Business Interruption Insurance (“MDBI”) for the Authority. This pre-qualification exercise will evaluate the Applicant’s capability in fulfilling the Insurance for the provision of the required Material Damage and Business Interruption Insurance coverage in accordance with business needs.

The electronic copy of the Pre-qualification Document is available for collection via email. Applicants who wish to express their interest in prequalifying to tender for the above contract should write a letter on company letterhead, giving their name and address, together with the name, position and e-mail address of their contact person and send by email to TQ1@hkairport.com for the urgent attention of Ms. Renee Kwok, Assistant Manager, Procurement.

The completed Pre-qualification Submission shall be submitted via email as per the instructions set out in the Pre-qualification Document, no later than 16:30 on 2 August 2024 (Hong Kong time).

Failure to comply with the requirements as specified in the Pre-qualification Invitation Document may render your submission invalid. Applicant may be disqualified if the submission does not meet the Authority’s requirement and late submission may not be considered.

The Authority will evaluate all applications using the information to be provided by the applicant in the completed Prequalification Submission and select the successful applicants at its sole discretion.

All costs incurred in connection with this invitation are responsibility of the applicant and nothing connection with this invitation shall constitute an obligation on the part of the Authority.

The procurement of the above Contract is covered by the Agreement on Government Procurement of the World Trade Organisation.
