  TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. The Hong Kong International Airport Career Expo 2024 (the “Expo”) is organized by the Airport Authority (“the Authority”) and the Labour Department. The Expo will be held from 11am to 6pm at Hall 1B of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong (“the Location”) from 17 to 19 May 2024 (“the Period”).
  2. Participants who fulfill the conditions listed at clauses 3, 4 and 5 (“Eligible Participant”) are eligible to enter the Lucky Draw within the Period. Each Eligible Participant accepts and agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. Violation of any these terms and conditions may result in disqualification.

   

  WHO MAY ENTER

  3. Eligible Participants must be Hong Kong residents (holders of a valid Hong Kong identity card) and aged 18 or above when joining the Lucky Draw.
  4. The Authority reserves the right to check the Hong Kong Identity Card of Participants to ensure their eligibility to enter the Lucky Draw.

   

  THE LUCKY DRAW

  5. To be qualified as an Eligible Participant, you shall, within the Period, visit the booth of Hong Kong International Airport and collect a Lucky Draw Card. Then, you shall visit designated booths in the Location and collect a stamp at each booth on your Lucky Draw card after completing a required mission. Once you have collected at least 4 stamps from four different booths, you will be an Eligible Participant.
  6. If the winner is unable to meet the requirement of being a Hong Kong resident (holding a valid Hong Kong identity card) or aged 18 or above, the winner will be disqualified and the prize concerned would be granted to a reserved winner.
  7. Each eligible participant can only win one prize ticket in each Lucky Draw on each day during the specified period. In the event that the winner wins two or above prize tickets on each day during the specified period, the winner will only receive the first prize ticket. The remaining prize concerned would be granted to a reserved winner.
  8. Accordingly, it is possible for an Eligible Participant winning up to 3 prize tickets if he/she visits the Expo and participates in the Lucky Draw on each day during the Period in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  9. Participation in the Lucky Draw does not guarantee the winning of any prize.
  10. Winners for each day of the Period will be drawn randomly by the representative(s) of the Authority on 11 June 2024. Lucky Draw results will be published in The Standard and Sing Tao Daily in Hong Kong and on the Hong Kong International Airport website (www.hongkongairport.com) on 20 June 2024.
  11. Only winners will be notified individually. Winners will be notified about the Prize redemption arrangement via email on or before 31 July 2024. The winners must follow the redemption details stated in the email for ticket redemption. The winners will be disqualified without notice if he/she fails to collect the Prizes within the specified Prize redemption period for whatever reason.
  12. Winners understand and accept that the Authority has no legal or other liabilities if any winners are unable to enjoy any Prize for whatever reasons or if any winners suffer from any personal injuries or property losses or damages in the course of his or her enjoyment of any Prize for whatever reasons.
  13. The Authority is merely giving out the Prize as represented by a redemption code which entitle the winner to an air ticket for flight operated by Cathay Pacific Airways. Accordingly, the Authority not be responsible or liable for the availability and quality of the services of such flights. Redemption of the Prize for air ticket is subject to terms and conditions of Cathay Pacific Airways and any dispute arising from such redemption shall be resolved by the winners and Cathay Pacific Airways directly.
  14. If the Eligible Participants violate Terms and Conditions or commit any illegal acts that result in any losses to the Authority or any third parties, the relevant Eligible Participants shall be liable for all the losses.
  15. Email notification or other Prize redemption documents issued to the winners will not be re-issued in case of loss or damage. No transfer, exchange, cash redemption or substitution for the Prize is permitted.
  16. If Lucky Draw is not capable of running as planned due to circumstances of fire, flooding, or theft that affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of Lucky Draw, the Authority reserves the right to cancel the Lucky Draw without prior notice.
  17. For any dispute arising from the Lucky Draw, the Authority reserves the right of final decision.

   

  THE PRIZES

  18. There are 1,500 prizes (“the Prize”) in total. Each prize is ONE (1) round-trip economy class air ticket on Cathay Pacific Airways originating from Hong Kong to the following destinations. All Prizes are drawn by the representative(s) of the Authority:

  TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE REDEMPTION OF PRIZE TICKETS

  19. Winners will receive a unique ticket redemption code.
  20. By using the redemption code, Winner fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these terms and conditions for redemption.
  21. Each ticket redemption code is only valid for the Winner to whom it is intended to be sent and for one-time usage only.
  22. Winner’s passport name is required during ticket booking.
  23. Each ticket redemption code can only be used to book ONE (1) round-trip economy class air ticket originating from Hong Kong to the destination specified in the Redemption Code Email, and is only applicable to flights operated by Cathay Pacific Airways. Each itinerary will originate and end in Hong Kong and destination cannot be changed. Each itinerary cannot be changed. Cathay Pacific’s conditions of carriage at https://www.cathaypacific.com/content/dam/cx/legal-and-privacy/general-conditions-of-carriage-for-passengers-baggage-en.pdf apply.
  24. Once the flight booking is successfully made using the code, the code will be utilised and considered consumed.
  25. In the event the winner voluntarily cancels the flight, the code will become void and no longer applicable. Please note that the ticket sponsor will not issue replacement codes under these circumstances.
  26. Each ticket redemption code is non-refundable, non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and non-redeemable for cash or any other item.
  27. Each ticket redemption code only applies to Tickets booked online through the dedicated webpage https://flights.cathaypacific.com/en_HK/offers/hkia-campaign/ticket-redemption.html, and is not applicable to or compatible with bookings made through any third-party agents or the Customer Care.
  28. The ticket redemption code must be used on 1 – 31 Aug 2024. Unclaimed ticket redemption code will be forfeited after the redemption period.
  29. Each ticket is valid from 1 Aug 2024 to 31 March 2025. Blackout periods apply.
  30. For all destinations, the minimum stay period for the ticket is 2 days, the maximum stay period for the ticket is 7 days.
  31. Each Winner must decide all flights and dates of their tickets at the time of booking.
  32. The Winner is responsible for any applicable taxes, surcharges and other fees including but not limited to rebooking fees in relation to the ticket.
  33. Tickets are on a bookable basis under this designated fare subclass (O Class Essential Brand), and are subjected to embargo periods and seat availability. There are variations to the number of seats for the designated fare subclass that are allocated to a particular flight, and it could be fully booked although seats may still be available in other fare subclasses in the same cabin class of travel.
  34. Once a ticket has been booked and issued, it will be deemed that the prize has been claimed. However, if the ticket booking is cancelled and the taxes and surcharges are refunded, it will be considered that the winner has forfeited the prize.
  35. Each ticket is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and non-redeemable for cash or any other item.
  36. Changing of the travel date(s) / time(s) is subject to a rebooking fee and seat availability. For all destinations, the rebooking fee per transaction is HKD 1,200. Changes must be made before the departure date of the flight.
  37. Winners who fail to show up for their flight will be treated as surrendering the Prize, thus further rebooking is not allowed.
  38. Upgrade of travel class via cash is not possible.

  PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

  39. The Authority is committed to personal data protection. The personal data collected from you in connection with this Lucky Draw will be used by the Authority for administering, organising, conducting or otherwise managing the Lucky Draw and related activities only. If you do not provide the required personal data, you may not be able to participate in the Lucky Draw. The Authority have put in place appropriate security measures to protect your personal data from accidental loss and from unauthorised use, access, disclosure or modification. If you provide any third party personal data, you shall have secured the relevant party’s consent to provide us with their personal data (to be collected, used and retained in the manner specified in these terms and conditions) prior to such provision by you. You have the right to request for access to and for the correction of your personal data held by the Authority. All personal data you provide in connection with this Lucky Draw will be properly deleted or destroyed 6 months after announcement of the Lucky Draw winners.   40. Participating in the Lucky Draw will serve as the participant's consent to accept the above Terms and Conditions, privacy policy of the Authority and agreement to receive communications relating to the Lucky Draw, including winner notifications. For the Authority’s privacy policy, please refer to the Authority’s corporate website https://www.hongkongairport.com/en/privacy-policy.page. Participants' personal information will be used for administering the Lucky Draw including the announcement of the winners list, notification of Prize redemption arrangements, and identity verification for Prize redemption.
  41. In the event of discrepancies in the Terms and Conditions between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.
  42. Trade Promotion Competition Licence No.: 58560-5. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Hong Kong Courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction if any dispute arises.
